*** UPDATE 10/1 9:16am: Current water levels are at 815.30. Waters have retreated and we're closer to normal water levels. They are talking about lowering the dike but leaving part of it in place for future protection. This would be great news as they will seed and landscape things to give back the beautiful views. Fishing has been excellent with one boat landing 5 master walleyes in one evening recently.
*** UPDATE 9/15 4:26pm: Current water levels are at 815.88. Waters continue to go down. We have new air conditioners, furnaces and air exchange units in all 10 cottages. I went to a meeting and it looks like the dike will be in place until next Spring. Fishing reports have been great.
*** UPDATE 9/1 11:26am: Current water levels are at 816.24. Waters continue to go down. Received news that the dike will either be removed or cut-down so the view is back so next year we should be in better shape than before the high waters. New heaters, air conditioners and air exchangers are being installed in the next few weeks. We put many new windows in to give guests a better view. Fall is looking to be busy. I will continue to update the site even though the waters have receeded.
*** FLOOD UPDATE 8/26 8:46am: Current water levels are at 816.34. Waters continue to go down, almost a foot down from the crest. Fall continues to fill with many guests planning getaways and fishing trips.
Our beautiful lakeshore cottages are just the place for those who wish to spend some quality time with family, friends or business partners. We offer two, thoughtfully designed floor plans. Choose from a two story, 3-bedroom design with an additional loft area, or a single level, 4-bedroom design, each with approximately 1,060 square feet of living space. All are overlooking beautiful Lake Manitoba at the Narrows. Regardless of the cottage you choose; all feature a well equipped kitchen, central heat and air conditioning, gas BBQs, vaulted ceilings with full window views of the lake, a washer and dryer and satellite TV. Each has it's own lakeside firepit, great for story telling after hours and comfortable sleeping accomodations for 8-12 people. You do not want to miss watching the sunset over the lake from your hot tub. It is spectacular!
As an added bonus, there is also a restaurant, bar, convenience store, and conference facility at the nearby Narrows West Lodge. All are located within easy walking distance from your cottage door.
